The general consensus at Ferrari is that the F2012 is not up to scratch but Stefano Domenicali insists that there is no reason to write off the season just yet.

Technical director Pat Fry admitted after pre-season testing concluded that the tests had been a disappointment for the team and that they had a lot of work to do before they would be challenging for podium places.
However, team principal Domenicali has attempted to rally his troops, asserting that the season is long and that with hard work the team can get back on track.

While Alonso and Massa remain Strong and confident that Ferrari can turn things around. Admitting that the F2012 is a new car both in design and technology for Ferrari and needs time for understanding.

Testing started In February and it lasted till March with 3 testing sessions (1 at Jerez and 2 at Barcellona) with all teams revealing their 2012 cars except for Mercedes, Marussia & Hispania. Right from the first test it was the Lotus Team with their E20 who showed pace, then came Red Bull who unveiled two different RB8s two new cars with different exhaust positions. As seen in the pictures only Mclaren and Marussia didn't opt for the Stepped nose regulation which came effect for the 2012 Season. Ferrari opted to analyses their F2012 since it was a new generation car for the Italian Stable and thus they opted to study the F2012 carefully. Mercedes were also setting quite faster times in all sessions and so the other teams as well being just a second away from the leading teams.

The main talking point of the season will be, how the teams are going to improve their car's performance in terms of aerodynamic grip with the Blown diffuser now being banned, the cornering grip and early acceleration is now absent, how will they come up with new ideas in order to improve performance.

With everything ready to go, the 2012 Championship seems to be a close one, with approximately 4 to 5 Teams challenging for the title. Will Sebastian Vettel go for the 3rd Consecutive title or Will the Spaniard beat the german to it.?? Who will Win the Number 1 Title at Mclarent from the two Brits?? Will Schumacher and Raikkonen rise up to the glory after their comebacks??? Will Nico Rosberg achieve his first F1 victory?? Will Felipe Massa and Mark Webber come back to their Winning ways??? Stay Tuned because the FIA 2012 F1 Championship will commence in just 7 Days time in Melbourne Australia at the Circuit of Albert Park!!!
